I tested Symphony OS, a web-based operating system designed to let you work alongside AI. It runs in your browser and aims to give you a full computer experience powered by artificial intelligence.
The platform performed better than other AI computer interfaces I’ve tried. During my testing, I didn’t hit any usage limits – it kept working steadily until completing tasks. The AI capabilities are solid overall, though the model still has accuracy issues. When I asked it to research and create an LLM tier list, it made up quite a bit of information.
The core functionality includes:
– A complete browser-based OS environment
– Built-in AI assistant for tasks
– No installation required
– Free to use
The AI assistant can help with typical computing tasks like document creation, research, and analysis. However, you need to fact-check its outputs since it tends to hallucinate and generate incorrect information.
Compared to other AI platforms, Symphony OS stands out by providing a full operating system experience rather than just a chatbot interface. This means you can do your actual work within the environment while getting AI assistance.
My recommendation: Symphony OS is worth trying if you want a free web-based computer with AI capabilities. Just be aware that like most current AI systems, you’ll need to verify any factual claims it makes. The platform shows promise but the underlying AI model needs improvement in accuracy.

I’ll keep testing Symphony OS and update this post as the platform develops. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried it and what your experience has been.
